Europe, Middle East and Africa

The Council on Emerging Markets – EMEA serves executives from global companies who are responsible for their company’s strategy or operations in the critical regions of Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. Participation is reserved for the senior-most executive responsible for the region, and his or her direct reports.

The opening up and subsequent integration of Eastern European and Former Soviet Union countries into the global economy; massive wealth creation in the Middle East fuelled by the energy boom; and the untapped potential of Africa: all present companies with tremendous new growth opportunities but also significant challenges.

EMEA countries offer executives differing challenges, but there are many common themes: corruption, weak legal and contract systems, challenging distribution and supply chains, and a shortage of talented people. Participants know that if the market’s promise is to be realized, they must work to partner with strong host governments, to overcome corruption, and to develop their organizations across very diverse cultures.

The Council on Emerging Markets – EMEA helps you and your team raise the bar on strategy and execution by enabling you to learn from the experiences and proven best practices of your peers who have got it right.
